Message Overly simple example of acceleration with no addition energy provided:

Sit in a chair that swivels (you know, turns in a circle). Spin yourself around with your arms and legs extended. Now, bring in your arms and legs, and you'll notice that your rate of rotation accelerates, without an additional amount of energy. You basically increase the amount of weight closest to the center of your rotational path, and decrease the amount of weight farthest from the center of your rotational path. Since the actual speed of an object on the outer edge of a rotational path is much higher than the speed of an object closer to the center of the rotational path (as long as they rotate at the same relative speed... say one rotation a minute), you are essentially descreasing the amount of weight, or drag, on the rotation when you bring in your arms and legs, and your rate of rotation accelerates...

Therefore if the light (which essentially is energy itself... photons..etc.) is traveling at a certain speed in an atmosphere, I believe it could accelerate to a higher speed once the drag (atmosphere) is reduced or removed completely.

What do you think Ash? I live in Panama City, Florida... wanna do a motor swap for me ;)... would you consider it? How much would you want?
